I am looking for ideas to eventually replace the pump from the UNS 30A that has some outside speed control. I can only find 2 that fits te bill so far. Either the:
Innovative Marine Mighty Jet Mini
or
Hygger DC1500

Both will fit in the return chamber of 3.5 inches by 3 inches and have an outside controller.

I am leaning toward the innovative marine. Anyone else have any suggestions to look at that will fit in this space?

You can get the expensive one from Ai if you want, i think there basically the same thing.

Its a bit more powerful at a bit larger size of 2.6 inches

@Naekuh Seems the ones you referenced from AI and ioaoi have wave makers and controllable which bumps the other 2 out of the running lol. I like the app and AI has always been solid for me. But for 30 bucks its hard to beat and I could replace now. But then question reliability. Not saying it isnt reliable, just that im not familiar. But with amazon 30 day warranty might be worth it. I do like the app where I can just use the phone to turn off and probably adjust the wave length better rather than just intensity. Two great choices. Thank you for finding those.

I think you need to bump up to the BS700 from IOAOI for the wave maker.
I think the BS500 runs off a usb.

Problem is i can't seem to find the BS700 anywhere, to help you find it.
You can probably ask the IOAOI rep here to help you source it.

Otherwise im a person that says you always get what you pay for.

If your budget permits I'd just get the ai and not look back.
Using ai director or mobius is spoiling yourself on making things easy.

A fellow hobbyist was looking at my Simplicity Pumps, and the lower wattage compared to my old AC Pump. They were having problems with overheating. Went with a Mighty Jet, for their small aquarium. Said, they couldn’t be happier, and no more overheating.

I actually dont need a lot of flow. I currently have my pump screen turned so flow is lower. But never hurts and with a wave maker mode will possibly need more flow for the push and disruption.

The BS500 on Amazon will be sold out soon and will no longer be available. This is still an early version with some flaws.
And the upgraded BS700 will be available for sale in one to two months.

I think I might look into the 700 as well when that's released, though the UNS stock pump is actually quite capable at 600gph and using only 4W, compared to 20W used by the Hygger.

I was thinking of getting a random flow nozzle, but if this does the same thing but with an external controller, it's a very attractive option.

The stock is only up to 158g/ph. The pump is sigma 600 for the name only. Doesnt hurt to have both but not sure how it will work. I plan on trying to see lol. May not work right.
