Hey yall, just wanted to say hi. stepping into the reef journey after a 15 year debate with myself and finally decided to just go for it. I did a lot of diving in Japan and want to bring a piece of that into my living room (with a little more variety). i got a 90 gallon tank to start (deal on facebook) and the goal is to have a mixed tank of a little bit of everything. havent researched what gets along with what yet, more so just putting together a wish list. That list consisting of Clows, Tangs, Wrasses, Gobies, shrimp, crabs, and clams along with some soft corals. Been doing a lot of research before i take on this adventure, the information the community puts out is vast. Like everything it seems so far that some of it is user preference (not starting a debate but like salt). I look forward to posting my experience and talking with yall. Thank You

Welcome!! I'm just starting out as well. Have a 135 with plans for a reef journey. I'd like to give you some newbie advice, based on recent personal experience. GO VERY SLOW!!! I put way too many fish in too soon and most have perished. Put one fish in at a time and if you need to go faster two tops. And let em live and flourish for several weeks before any more.

Welcome to R2R and the salty world. Take things slowly. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.

Thanks for the heads up, My plan was 2 fish at a time to keep an eye on the bio load with some coral and vertebrates in the mix to help with cleaning and visual appeal. In my head it sounds good anyway.
