Welcome to Reef2Reef, would love to see some pictures of the tank when you get time!

Not much to look at just yet.
Rocks that superglued then mortared together.notice left rock structure so much mortar on it as after hours gluing it then moved it,it fell apart as carrying it so then lots smashed up small pieces rock so lots mortar needed for the seems ha ha.one different kind rocl (well lfs guaranteed me was rock but i think resin was gritty /loose ) shpuld never glued that one piece but trusted lfs ha ha.
White rock probably coming out dt.
Basic stock equipment in sump ( skimmer not set up yet) amnonia 1ppm.nitrite 0.25.nitrate 15-20 ppm in dt,350 litres total system.
Qt 54 litre makes 2ppm amnonia -0 within 24 hours so water change on that and going get first fish in next couple days.whilst dt finishes off cycling

Yeah 5 years tank sitting empty and just looking at it,with all the gear bought and rodi plumbed in under sink, just needed bucket salt ,fish net and thermoter that bought in last 2 months.
Took 5 years due to going on holidays and not wanting to set new tank up and flood neoghbour downstairs as live in a 2nd floor flat then ill health stopped me for few years but 2 months ago i thought right now i can and WILL finally set this bloody system up ha ha.
Few teething problems as didnt even water test tank/plumbing so after 5 years when added water got leak from cracked tank connector and water squirting out the warranty ovbiously had passed so had to order/pay for new piece.im a former plumbing/heating engineer so was just going go merchants buy pipe/fittings and re-plumb all return pipework but decided to buy from manufacturer but wouldn't sell me direct so had to go through a lfs and they rang up ordered part i arranged but didnt follow up by order the correct way so part sat on manufactures desk 1.5 weeks till i finally rang up saying what going on and then got next day.all the while tank full of salt water and return pump running with believe it or not a bike puncture repair kit for inner tubes stopping the leak so alot sleepless nights thinking any night now that puncture repair on tank connector will give way and i flood my living room but luckily it holded for that 1.5 weeks ^_^
Also as crack ran all the way upto top of connector the puncture repair patch struggled to go over top lip so put some solvent weld glue on it at top and down the connector to literally melt the pipe to form temporary seal which it sorted did.just had slight 1 drip every 10 seconds but all is well that ends well ha ha
