They are doing the right thing as I'm sure any other manufacture will do should their reagents work similar. Hobbyist should heed the information and do the right thing. As far as your neutralizer baking soda or bicarb we'll have to wait and see what they say. I'm sure they will talk about it as that is pretty important. Especially if hobbyist have different container size constraints.
Actually it states right on their website:

"It is a common aquarium additive that you may already have. It is is Calcium Hydroxide (Kalkwasser). Please add two tablespoons of it with 200 mL of water."

Curious how it’s priced since there’s competition already in this market.. either way I wouldn’t buy it cause my Hannah works just fine and it’s very simple to use and cheap lol.. I don’t see any need to track n03 and p04 more than once a week… I don’t even test it unless my corals look funny.. that’s maybe once every 2 weeks and it’s always acceptable numbers so I quit pretty much.
Side question how did you get that battlecrew tag?

I've used both Apex and GHL equipment simultaneously on my systems and I was really turned off from GHL after the Ion Director debacle. Only time will tell and with every manufacturer release these are first generations models and their bound to have hiccups. That is why we have early adopters. :) But I think just like everything else maintenance and care of your equipment will lead to overall better experience. But time will tell and I can't wait to get mine in to set it up and see if it lives up to the hype.

^^This is exactly where I'm at. I have GHL for dosers and KH Director, which I find is a great compliment to the Trident to keep honest on alkalinity. I was hoping the ION Director would a) test phosphate and b) get released sometime before I die; neither of those things were seeming to happen, so when I found out about the NP I was super excited.

There'll be hiccups, and there'll be frustrations, but like you said that's what early adopters are for :)

Anyone know if you can share a waste container between the Tridents if you have the neutralizer in there?

Just saw a "brand advocate" over on Facebook say you could but that you would need to be a careful about what you have your container sizes set as since there is no setting to tell it that they are sharing.

I called to see if I could expedite shipping. I was told that due to the chemicals in the reagents, it can only ship via ground. :frowning-face:

Correct. The acid in the reagents is ground only. That is dictated by the carriers and maybe even the law

Got a notification that my order shipped. Looked at the contents and it looks like my reagents and the free stickers shipped today. But my Trident NP… no sign of it doing anything. Anyone else experience similar?
Me. But staying impatiently patient. Lol

My Trident NP is out for delivery! I'll have it setup by end of day.

Does anyone know if the NP has issues with the phosphate tests when dosing sodium silicates, like the Hanna testers ?

Saw the BRS Trident NP review, and them talking about the waste.

I'm a bit concerned about this waste. They added a drip tray under the Trident. Also, it recommended at HDPE waste container and also include a waste neutralizer. I'm currently just going directly to drain, and this doesn't seem like it would be possible with this NP reagents.

Looks like this reagent is very acidic. I would not mount this Trident high for safety. And would probably wear gloves in handling it.

FYI per their FAQ page, the neutralizer is simply Kalkwasser. So you can scale up or down your container size. I'm willing to bet someone can come up with some creative solution to run the output through some kalk before running it down a drain.

Now I'm sad that I didn't buy what I first saw as a stupid plastic bottle with Trident NP Labeling on it. DOH!!
