Hello everyone. I am new to the hobby and have been doing a lot of reading and video watching and im still not 100% confident in my setup, and I have some questions.
I was recently given a 40 gallon cube tank with about 50 pounds of live sand and some dirty water and maybe 10 pounds of cycled rock. I bought more live rock from my LFS, and filled the rest up with premixed water.
I have all softies in my tank, with a nice Pavona frag that my LFS was giving for free. I also introduced some Coralline algae and have been dosing calcium accordingly with the help of my store. I feed flakes and two times a week the frozen marine fish cuisine cubes.
I have a canister filter hooked up, a surface skimmer, with two wavemakers on the back corners, been adjusting them every couple of days to get the flow just right. I feel like my flow and lighting is Medium-High.

Current stocking is:
Snowflake Clownfish (added last, I picked it up)
Royal Gramma
Firefish
Diamond Goby
Pajama Cardinal
Banggai Cardinal

Cleanup crew consists of a Halloween Hermit that hitchhiked, and maybe 15 astrea snails and a trochus.

Question is, im new to the hobby and I worry that I may have too many fish! I felt guilty getting the clown but my daughter insisted! There is no aggression, I have lots of shapes and rock too I feel.

I think you're right on the edge, but you have smaller fish varieties. Down the road you might see aggression between the Royal Gramma, and Fire Fish, same coloration and like body shapes.
I am not a huge fan of canister filters because I find them to eventually become nitrate and phosphate factories.
Sounds like you're off to solid start.

Welcome to R2R.
