I'm new to this hobby and just started about 6 months ago. Lots to learn lol

I have a bubble tip anemone who is super stretched out. I think my fish are afraid to go near this side of the tank. My clowns don't host it and don't want to go near it. See the picture. Is this normal?

I've had him for 4 months now. Most of the time it's that big. Went thru a wierd period where it tried to eat a turbo snail. It spit out the shell, side note the snail survived, but since this the anemone mouth is mostly open.

Yes it did. This picture is from end of Nov. I know it doesn't look like much of bubble tip but it did have more pronounced bubble tips when I got it. It started stretching like this and acting weird around the time it tried to eat the snail.

The only thing I find weird is that it is near your sand bed. Bubble tips like to find holes in your rock work and stay on the rock they normally don’t go down to the base of rock work like yours looks like it is right now.

LAWNMOWER BLENNY :D
It looks healthy by the color, just let it grow. If it starts to lose color or the tentacles shrivel, then you'll know but if it is just growing weirdly that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

This is the location it chose. It is actually attached to the rock and not the sand bed, but due to its size it looks like it's on the sand.

Hmm, I'm lost, how old is your tank? The tank could still be unbalanced. Could we get some parameters just to be safe?
The tank is just over 6 months
Temp: 25.8
PH: 8.3
Ammonia: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: 15
PO4: 0.75
Salinity :1.026
Alk: 9
Cal: 500
Mag: 1500

The blenny is on recovery mode. He wasn't too happy the last few days but he's started to recover. He's alot happier today and looking better. I love this fish, only second to the mandarin goby
The anemones colour hasn't changed since I got him. The tentacles shrivels up at times but then puffs up again. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes. I've been reading that if the mouth is open and it's stretching that it might not be a good thing.

Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated.

All your params seem good except that your tank is a tad young. I'd say give him time, feed him every now and then. I feed mine a cube of squid about 2 times a week and it loves it. Try and keep everything as stress free as possible

Awesome, thanks so much for the replies.

I feed it 1/2 a cube of brine shrimp every couple days and the other half to the clown fish and the mandarin goby, they love it.
