Hello everybody!

I only just got into the hobby a month ago, I’ve never owned a fish tank in my life. I decided to join with a buddy of mine to start up a frag tank and learn the hobby through him.

I’m really excited to start collecting frags and meeting with other hobbyists like me!

I’ll also be creating a YouTube channel dedicated to my frag/reef experience, I’m truly excited to share my journey with the everyone.

Welcome to the Salty life and Reef2Reef!

Just a few things you should know that I learned the hard way:
  • Putting a banana in the tank is not dosing potassium.
  • Using holy water to make new saltwater is not as good as RODI.
  • Wives like covers on tanks but don't ask them to cover up.
  • Frags may look like giant trees in pictures in the wysiwyg sales but in reality the are coral seeds.
  • Coralline algae sucks. It steals your Alk and makes you scrape it off and covers all your gear.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?

  • Primarily art focused.
