Hi, I’m new, from Australia and learning all about plumbing for my aquariums. I keep Axolotls which aren’t reef or even fish but the tank systems and equipment I need are similar to marine.
Welcome!

COOL!! I had to go google Axolotis (hee hee - pictures remind me of morphing tadpole). Glad you joined and looking forward to hearing about your successes!

How big are the Axolotls?
Are the tanks at the same height or is one a sump to the other?
One is on a standard height pine stand and the other one has a low stand and is only maybe 20cm from the ground. Atm I have the female in a 2ft while I figure out the big plumbing project. My male axolotl is 27cm long and growing I think. He’s huge. She is maybe 22cm.
I have him in a 3ft with the canister filter and chiller and the female has an internal filter and ice bricks for cooling atm. It’s thankfully cool the next week or so (they need btw 14-18c or they get sick).
I’m basically starting from scratch with the plumbing etc.
