Doubt they will get a new deal done before current cba runs out, but lets hope that they can come up with a new cba and we can have a 2011 season....Would be boring to have no football on sunday and not be able to watch my Buccaneers.

Honestly i dont know how i can do without a season, let alone a fantasy football season too. College is great but more of a bonus. At least there is still a lot of time left to sweat it out!

It would most definitely suck if there was no NFL season this season...I list in fantasy this year and need a redemption season.

well luckily they extended the cba, so hopefully they can make a new deal by friday, but i think it will get done at some point even if its not by friday, these judges will twist hands to the point were they will have to make a new cba.

Yeah the extensions are a good sign that they are getting close and something will get done. Just hope its sooner than later!

You figure with a 9 Billion dollar industry...both sides would realize that their egos need to be checked at the door! NFL talks resume; Bob Kraft says deal 'possible' - ESPN

I like Obama's statement, something along the lines of "when billionares are negotiating with millionares, you'd think they can get it figured out in a time when many americans just want a job" not word for word, but basically sums up the sentiments. Do hope they get it figured, sunday football is something I've gotten really used to. I do understand the owners side a little bit, here in San Diego we're expecting to lose the Chargers because we can't find a billion dollars to build a new stadium for them.

Yeah Obama's statement is spot on for sure. Unfortunately i can feel for both sides to a degree when it comes to extra games = injuries....owners want it because more money but players are worried about long term effects and not seeing the extra money. Sad thing is...it all comes down to money! Greed vs Greed. Honestly i would love to be a Pro Football Player and make 250K a year....Well below league minimum at any level. Things are outta control!

Looks like Brees is the poster boy for the players - "To our fans -- I give you my word that we as players are doing everything we can to negotiate with the NFL towards a fair deal," Brees tweeted before the start of Friday's meetings. "The NFL brought this fight to us -- they want $1 billion back, we just want financial information to back up that request."

Next Deadline looms - Drew Brees puts bull's-eye back on owners' books as NFL, union meet - ESPN

Not sure if anyone is still following this but the players union is trying to have the college players that are going to get drafted, BOYCOTT the draft by not showing up and shake Roger's hand and put on the teams hat and hold the jersey...This is getting out of hand. Plus with the lawsuits now...i dont have a good feeling anymore for this year. So sad!

I'm still following somewhat- problem is both sides are having to really work for the sympathy card- if the players are saying they just want to play, they'd be willing to take the offer that the owners put up. But they don't just want to play- they want to play AND get paid as much as possible to do so. Now both sides are trying to get the sympathy, and it's just not working that well...

Agreed, I'm real doubtful about the 2011 season kicking off.

Here is some of the lawsuit stuff. Honestly i cant believe i am watching this unfold. We are truly watching something unprecendent...looking forward to see what happens with the draft.
