Hello all,

I will be having a mix between the 200 and 150 possibly. I got the 200 to see how it will be around the brace of my tank. Then I’ll decide on 2 more of the 200w or 2 of the 150s or what is needed (7x2x2 tank).

on my nano tank I have a 65w Nicrew and am using the preset.

What settings / schedule do you like for your nicrews on both nano and large tanks ??

I don't have the Gen 2 nicrew, but have a bunch of the gen 1. I usually run 100% blue and 25% white adjusted to get the PAR reading you need and keep the ratio of blue to white (my preference) you may want more or less white light. I ran my schedule for 10 hrs. of lighting per day.

The gen 2 has this spectrum What would you say for the other colors?
Blue
Violet
White
Red
Green

would set it, keep the ratios when adjusting for PAR, see what it looks like

edit: this will have a lot of blue, you can lower the blue and raise the white to get where you like it

I used reef dudes settings from YouTube and lowered them a bit. I'm running my blues at 60 white 18 red and green I believe are both 12. I tried raising it to 65 blue but I bleached a hammer and montipora spongodes on the sand bed. At my settings for two over a 4 ft by 20in deep I can grow digitata on the sand bed. Gen 2 200s

They say their "AB+" for the Gen 2 is violet and blue at 100%, and white, green and red at 25%. I'd start there as far as the color mix. You can scale that down easy enough.

That's pretty high for G and R channels just saying

Any par readings?

Here are my par numbers on my new setup. 2x 200w gen 2. 31” tall tank. Lights 9” off the water.

This is at
60% B V
15% W
14% G
14% R

Except for the numbers marked (100). That’s with the light cranked to max.

Not really when you consider that the 200w HyperReef Gen 2 has 108 leds. THREE of those are red and THREE of them are green. That is a TINY amount of the total output, and reduced even more by dialing it down to 25%.

Personally, I'd run them at the same percentage that I ended up running the white channel. But, I mean, thats why they have adjustments. You do you.

I have the 150 so I'm not sure how to run each channel but I have it a two hour ramp up/down.

The 150 is the same as the 200 except it has 72 LEDs instead of 108, and 2 red and 2 green instead of 3. Same color mix.

All the zoa, Kenya tree have all gotten bigger and 1-2 new shoots.

The pipe organ and GSP have doubled in size

Know of anyone who has grown sticks with these?

No, but I don’t see why not. The PAR spread on these is pretty even and they can punch deep as you can see. I’m getting 280 PAR on the sand bed on a 31” tall tank with the lights sitting above the recommended height.

I’ll try to add sticks when the tank is more established.
