Nicrew 200 gen 2

I have a new to me 70ish gallon tank. It is 35.5x21.5x21.5. Currently it has two fluval marine 3.0 lights, I’ve been told I’ll be way under par for anything but algae with those. Thinking of centering a Nicrew HyperReef 200watt Gen 2. Anyone have real world experience experience with the spread on these. I intend to only do softies, zoas, and lps. I have found a few anecdotal videos and the info on the website say it’ll do it but will be weak on the outside. Tia

The spread is nice you could hang it pretty high and turn up the intensity your good on the width ang height spread for sure it says 32 bt 32 spread but it's more like 30 by 30 but you can hang it pretty high. The light is awesome by the way. No problem.you could go with two 100s but I think it's fine for now you could in the future buy another 200 and have 2 and run it at lower intensity. Less heat the better longevity on these lights. There is a fan in top just light hydras

I think 2 150s would be your best bet they can both run on 1 controller for softies and LPS. Lower light with LPS in the middle area one 200 is good you could add another later if your requirements rise

Your tank is 35.5" wide? I think you'll be fine. I have a 100 watt nicrew over my 32 gallon which is 30" wide. I have coraline growing on the side glass so it gets adequate light. I think you have a good light for that tank. good luck
