As you can see I changed my mind and went to dual 100's on my 40B. Are you still running at 50/20?
I'm not. I have increased the whites at peak so It now maxes @ 50/40. Starts much more blue in the morning, but the whites now ramp more mid day. Everything seems to really like the lights. Cyphastrea's and Monti have great PE and are coloring up nicely. especially my WWC Dragonfruit Monty.

I have these in consideration for my 5x2x2ft build..I was thinking 3 of the 150w as I want all SPS, mainly acros..
Don’t have the budget, or let me rephrase that, not willing to spend radion money, so hopefully these will do the job, was considering reef breeders but not fully sold on them...
What do you think?

Also any word n the controller?

I think they would work well for that tank, just note that you will likely have low light areas at the very front and back of the tank. Place lower light corals there and you should be good to go.

As for the controller, They had stated it would be released in April, however, I just found a Facebook post from them stating that it is delayed due to "some difficulties" and will be available sometime this summer. I love mine with the Kessil Spectral X Controller, may be a good option if you don't want to wait.

Well for less than the price of one xr30 I could buy four and turn them length ways.. disappointing about the dimming controller, would the Kessil control three (or four)?
thanks
Unfortunately, the included mounts do not have a way of mounting the lights that way. If you are using a canopy or hanging the lights you could do it. Otherwise you would have to come up with a diy solution. The Kessil Spectral Controller X can run a good number of lights. As stated, you just daisy chain them using 3.5mm audio cables.

Perfect.. I’d most likely use some aluminium and diy something to hang them. there are four units in my Amazon basket atm, I will have a few days to be sure then sounds like they could be on the way.. cheers for replies

Salve ho sentito dire che le ventole sono molto rumorose, è vero?

Google translation:
Hi I heard that the fans are very loud, is that true?

Yes, the fan is pretty loud, but you can quiet it down to near silent by removing the plastic piece that sits on top of the fan. Just takes a simple allen wrench to remove it.

In Italia le 150w vengono vendute solo con il kit di sospensione . Io vorrei metterle a bordo vasca. Però 3x100w è molto costoso.

I think 2 x 100W would be fine for LPS and Some SPS placed high directly under the lights, but there would be a lot of low light areas throughout the tank. Shadowing would be another concern for me.

Potrei prima prendere 2x100w e fra qualche mese aggiungere un'altra. Ma in termini di efficacia e copertura 3x100w sono uguali a 2x150w?

Sure. It is a bit difficult to show real well, but here you go.

First the Controller.

I am using an inexpensive Amazon Basics cable to go from the controller to the first light.

I then used the cable that came with the controller to connect the first light to the second.

And that is all it takes. Super simple and works great!
How did you set up the settings in the controller?

Yes, with either option you would have a total of 6 x LED pucks. The only real advantage to the 3 x 100W would be the ability to spread them out a bit more.
