i have been on the Triton Core for other methods since September. I don’t seem to be having much luck. I’ll start with my parameters. I am only dosing 4 ML a day of everything other than the calcium bottle that is dosing 3 ML a day due to higher levels. My tank is 100 gallons total water volume (90 gallon tank) lit by an 8 bulb 36” ATI SunPower 10” over the water. I have a refugium with chaeto but it’s only about 8% total water volume. I have suffered two chaeto die offs that made a huge mess. My alk is steady at 8.5 tested with salifert. I know it should be lower but that’s where I am right now. phosphates .07-.1 depending on the day. When it gets up to .1 I start running GFO. I run carbon 24/7 my nitrates are typically between 5 and 10 but I did just have a spike up to 20 for about a week. Calcium 390 mag 1275. Salinity 1.025 maintained with an ATO. Now for my issues. My corals just don’t seem to be growing much if at all. My candy canes look terrible, my small acro Frags have not added any growth and now one seems to be going down hill and turning brown. The nice tabling sps is new and has only been in the tank for about a week. My Green hammer in the center is about 4 months old and actually seems smaller. My purple hammer in the center front looks happy but hasn’t added any new growth in the 10 months that I have had it. Same for the torch on the left side behind the bubble tip. The plate coral to the left of the purple hammer used to be bright green it’s now fading and bleaching. I’ve tried a few different spots in the tank. Zoas seem happy and do grow for the most part. Some of the yellow ones on the left side of the rock with the red zoas don’t open for some reason but who knows. I have a neon green sps on the far right side that is suddenly losing flesh and bleaching and I can’t figure out why. I also lost a small pocillpora colony and I have no idea why. I have a couple of emerald crabs that were hanging out in it not sure if hey caused it or if it was another issue. Last icp was a month ago. Nothing out of the ordinary except low potassium which I corrected. It still may be too low but I did not want to overdose. I had an issue about 2 months in that spiked my magnesium to about 2100 or so but hat has been corrected. Any ideas?? I had an aptasia problem so I added some peppermint shrimp. They destroyed a beautiful colony of Montipora Digitata within a week that had nothing to do with triton just an added frustration.
