I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a propeller breeze 3 4 fan setup with controller on my p4. It will be dead smack in middle of my tank between light brackets. Directly over the center overflow which is has a cover over it. Just wondering who uses one and does it work I'm wondering if it will be a difference from my tank sitting at 77.2 in winter to hopefully 78.5 tops. 78.0 would be ideal. Those of you that have one. Feel free to share your experience.

I can't get a 5 fan as my lights are already in place and my custom top is cut out for them. Light brackets are about 15" apart so the 14.5" 4 fan would fit perfectly.

I like Breeze, it a 4 fan unit on both tanks and it does the job quite well. No complaints, do like the variable speed on them :)

how do you configure it does it turn on automatically if my temp goes up .1 above my set temp.. i think i have it set to 7.4 with .30 forgot what it was called but tank sits at 77.2-77.3 90% of time well all winter.. but summer is coming id love to keep it 78 tops... or as close to it.

and is it best to blow straight across at my face for best cooling or down at the water surface.

I also have a 4 fan unit. It helps keep the temps down In the Arizona summers. I have mine set up on the short side of my tank blowing across the length of the tank. It’s set up as a variable speed with the GHL breeze controller. The warmer the tank the faster it runs.

Here is a screen shot of the control screen. Don’t worry about the actual voltage part as it only changes when the fan unit is on. Since my temps right now are low the fan unit is low.

The above works hand in hand with the temp sensor settings.

They turn on based off the Hysteresis setting. Mine is set at 0.31, the lowest you can set this value is .27

So in my case I have my temp set at 78.3 if the temp gets to 78.61 the fans start up.

What is that section in probe that says 1-10v deviation of.... Yours is .05. Mine is 3.5?

I too have it set to .31 for temp swing

l’m absolutly not sure right now what the difference is but I know it works so I’m not messing with it. LOL. I think it’s on the instruction sheet which I don’t have handy.

My programing is already set per your help. Just gotta screw it on and plug in. Except I wish the cord came out on the other side since that's the side the cable needs to go lol. I can work with it.

You can reverse the mounts if you need to. I switched mine around. Did Ditto answer your question in a PM or something? I missed it.

I did answer the 1-10 volt question but can answer it here also :)

This is a great feature, the 1-10 volt deviation says how long will it take me to get to - full 10 volts after I activate.

So for example the fan begins to cool at 78 degrees if you said 1 degree it would not be at full power till 79 degrees or 10 volts.

Here is mine :) I played with mine till I got the desired results I needed and for me it was 2. Degrees.

Thanks Ditto... funny your screen shot doesn’t show your 1-10v deviation but you say it’s two.. so Got it LOL

@AZMSGT pm. Basically long story short. You have nominal temp value. And hysteresis value. So fan will kick on at nominal value+hysteresis. Then the 1-10v max setting is what temp the fans run max.
So my value is 77.4* hysteresis .31*. So my fans with kick on at 77.7 and inset my 1-10v max deviation to 1. So according to @Ditto it will run full speed at 78.4

I thought I was to add the nominal+hysteresis+maxdeviation to get the temp for max fans. Which would have been 78.7
