I would do a search for a microscope and get one. You can get them pretty cheap. Mine was only $12 but there likely better option now on amazon. Once they are ID, if you have them, UV will help only some strains. In the meantime, be sure to be running GAC to help remove dino toxins.
already one step ahead of you, bought one the moment someone said the word dinos lol

I just picked up a Green Killing Machine at Petco for about $60. No plumbing required, plug and play. I got the 24-watt for my 112 gallon tank but you could get by with the 9-watt for a 20L tank.

I do realize that some reefers spend a lot on UV to run them constantly but I just wanted to clean up the dinos. I removed the UV within 2-3 weeks and haven't needed it since. I do agree that you should get a scope to verify dinos before taking any action.
the dinos would be in my 160 gallon, so i would need something a bit hefty for UV, i would most likely have to plumb it in as I don't really have the sump space to fit something in the water :/

Let me know if you go the UV route. Unfortunately I have some experience with them and have read LOTS of dino threads.
