Who knows what this little guy is? I'm no nudibranch expert
It is about 1/8 of an inch long.

Beat meVayssierea Sp.
Sea slug
Harmless, but have been known to eat tube/fan worms
NOW WHERE was this information when people post about their massive problems with spirorbid worms lol.I would guess vayssierea felis. It eats spirorbid worms.
It is a nudibranch. Dorids like these have retractable branchial plumesNot a Nudibranch but a Sea Slug, The difference from the two are the fact that Nudibranch have those little "gills" but sea slugs don't have their exposed, He should be safe in your aquarium
That one is a sacoglossan slug called Elysia obtusa. They feed primarily on siphonaceous/filamentous green algae. Safe to put in your tank, although if the population doesn't breed they tend to die off after a few weeksI know this is an old thread but I’m resurrecting it because I think I have one of these as well? I just pulled a Monti frag to reposition it and this guy was under it. He’s smooth and doesn’t have the frilly sides like a berghia, zoa eating nudi or Monti eating nudi. He does have the two black lines on his back and the “wings” of sea slugs. I was just looking at him in my hand before I put him in the cup so I got a really good close up view, I just wish my camera could get a better pic.
Does anyone think I can safely let him back in my tank?
Thank you!! I hope there’s a few in there then. Back in the tank he goes. That one is a sacoglossan slug called Elysia obtusa. They feed primarily on siphonaceous/filamentous green algae. Safe to put in your tank, although if the population doesn't breed they tend to die off after a few weeks
