I recently started using the Nyos Ion B product line for 2-part and have been happy with it. When I went to restock I noticed BRS has discontinued the 2 Liter CA and Alk component (though still have the trace bottles) and the only other place I see offering it is saltwateraquarium.com which has had it out of stock for some time. Anyone know what is going on, is it no longer being sold in the USA? I asked Nyos support (which goes to BRS) and they didn't know anything.

BRS is no longer the NYOS distributor for the US so I wonder if NYOS is back logged trying to get distribution all setup and get shipments out to all the retailers

gonna take credit for this, saltwateraquarium.com restocked it today haha 😂

It’s been gone and h never got a notice saying they were in stock

As long as it’s not discontinued I’m fine - I just switched to it!

Wonder what happened with BRS - uses to be able to get nyos salt from both BRS and SWA

They must have had very limited stock. My order shipped out today.

Unfortunate to hear the price is going up, though i heard they planned on having a dry powder available in USA soon so that could mitigate some of the price increase.

Still way cheaper than red sea but yeah there goes a lot of the value.

Hopefully the powder version brings back the value.

I have plenty left (my 2nd set has not precipitated again BTW) but when it runs out I am considering two options right now: use BRS chems and make my own NYOS copy or switch over to NAF and use sodium hydroxide

When I did calculations on Nyos Ion B in late 2025 the pricing was as in-line with ESV 2-part as well as Modern Reef 4-part. If the Nyos pricing has increased materially then that makes the alternatives more attractive.

Switching one of my tanks off Modern Reef, created nothing but Algae and corals darkened. Polyp extension was phenomenal, however. I'll probably just switch from NYOS back to A4R unless the powder brings the price back down.

What a bummer! I have a full set and was just about to switch from Red Sea 4-art to it. Will keep watching this thread to see what happens here.

I just got the GEO calcium reactor. At these prices it’ll pay for itself in no time.

Maybe they’ll work out their logistics and it won’t be an issue moving forward. The cost is the pain point. But like mentioned up the thread, the powder version here in the states will make it more cost effective.
