Well it felt like forever with this lockout but it is FINALLY here football fans!! Tonight NO versus GB. Should be a good season with all kinds of players moved around. My fins aren't poised for anything magical but i will still be rooting them on. I am just excited fantasy football is back too

What are you guys looking forward to?

Having grown up in New England I'm a Pats fan. I'm hoping Ochocinco can pick up the offense quickly, and that Haynesworth can stay healthy. I have a lot of worries about the secondary though. Not much experience/depth there. It'll be very interesting to see how the change to a 4-3 defense works out too.

This is funny. All AFC east so far. I'm a Buffalo fan. Yeah we suck but you don't abandon your team! I was not aware the Pats were changing to a 4-3....why the change?

I'm looking forward to some improved play from our D-line, 1st round pick, healthy merriweather.

Looking for more consistent play overall.... We were in a lot of games.

Happy NFL season kickoff!

They basically had no pressure on opposing QB's last season and very few sacks. The idea is that with 4 linemen, all of whom are veterans, they'll get more pressure, and allow the linebackers and secondary to run more effective blitzes. Because many of the linemen are new, and it is a departure from their traditional 3-4, it'll be interesting to see how well it works in the beginning of the season.

I feel your QB pain my friend...ever since Marino and Kelly it has been an up hill battle!

Ahhhh football! I love football! College and Pro! My team is the Dallas Cowboys. People either love them or hate them but I grew up in the DFW area and have been a fan since the 70's. I'm a bit nervous with all the changes and new players.

The risk is one I'm very familiar with...when the 4-3 doesn't work gaping run holes do. We have had a decent pass rush but get popped for huge runs. Now we're hybrid 3-4 so we shall see.

I love sports. Too bad they're too entertaining. It makes me wonder what is really going on behind the closed doors of our govt....hmmmm

Being a die hard pittsburgh fan, its hard to see my team the way it is this year.

We usually have a lack of depth and some glaring weakness, but they seem to still contend for the last couple years or so.

this year, we have good depth at everything except for cornerback and our receiving core is crazy. You know if your number 5 receiver is jerricho cotchery you got a nice pool of talent.

But it is not what we are use to, it is going to be a season for the ages or an epic fail. I dont think there will be an inbetween

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS BABY! Been a DIE HARD jets fan my entire life and watching them be relevant the past couple years is awesome. PUMPED !

I have always wondered how people from NY decide which team to pick to be fan of:squigglemouth:.

The Jets and Giants both play in the same stadium. Who do you decide to root for?:ooh:

I really haven't met anyone who is fans of both teams.

Its passed down from generations above us, we have no choice. I've been a Mets , Jets, Rangers, and Knicks fan since I was younger and I will never change, unlike some frontrunning fans from this area.

and Buffalo is the only team that actually plays in the state of NY :) Since my Bills are never in it I do root for the Giants on the NFC side. Jets are mortal enemies....who we can't beat anymore! Ah yes..this year will be different...I keep telling myself that.
