Most people on the other forums already know me as "Flo".... Cos that's who I am. ;) I made up my handle on two seconds' worth of thinking while distracted about something I'd wanted to post on NR but wasn't registered at the time... Pet's name (my white mini-poodle) + some number. Seven is the Christian number of power. 777 is I guess the street address to the Pearly gates (down the street, 667 for Hell) or something like that, the numbers significant probably because Heaven is where God has his Dominion upon you. Peaceful; solely means he's dominant, not wrathful. (That'd be Hell.) Note that I'm not religious--read nothing into that except that I don't have a particular religion, but happen to have knowledge of them. I'm not knocking anyone on either here!--I'm not even on one. :D LOL

Well, got off on the wrong start with the intro, there... I'm currently sitting on some cycled rock and sand, gotta put them into the tank already. Been reefing for about 11 years, now.

My turnons include weekly water-changes of 10-15% using R/O or other truly purified water, using metal blades on acrylic without scratching it (if you've got the skill, you save so much time on that coralline), putting halide on even the smallest tanks, fragmenting coral colonies (with bone-cutters, with a hammer and chisel, with a dremel), feeding LPS corals pieces of silversides, and when hilarious misfortunes befall yellow tangs. I have a photo of one snatched up in the mouth of a viper eel, another of a Trachyphyllia brain half-eating one (stingers a-poppin'), and a third of one that somehow got a rubber-band stuck across his body. I don't genuinely want any misfortune to happen to any aquarium fish, but darned if I'm not bored of tangs, especially yellow tangs.

Speaking of turnoffs: PC lighting on non-nano tanks, crappy skimmers, dum-dums who read the label on a product for tank ratings (exaggerated! These lying, self-aggrandizing companies [not all, but many] want their stuff to look good; once you bought it and found it sucks, well, they don't care; they've got your money), Kent supplements/adds, when people keep clams under non-halide, and overstocking/overfeeding/not enough flow/etc....screwing up your tank.

I like coral; fish are meh, for the most part. I mean, yeah, some gobies, blennies, fairy wrasses, pipefish, etc. are cool, but... meh. LPS has always been my favorite, along with Palys, of which there are so many species, colors, growth forms, etc. Always a fan of strange invertebrates, I used to collect pods, mini-stars, and other such cute tiny critters.

For shipping/"have we met?" purposes, I live in/around Seattle, WA.

Let's keep it clean please.
Nothing from the casino yet, but from my understanding there are future plans!
