Will the orca have the capability to support the 6255 or will it only only use the 6105 and 6075.

There is some uncertainty here, we have planned to make a heavy duty version of the ORCA for the 6255. It works but the issue is it a great deal of thrust for the clamp and pipe to handle, we had discussed longer term having a version that was beefier and could be extended deeper. The ORCA can actually handle 6055, 6075, 6095, 6105, 6255 as long as they are HUB edition models as you have to have a pump with the 4 pin waterproof connector to connect the pump to the ORCA. The 6255 is with caveats that you will need to be absolutely sure the clamp is secure and the pipe will need to be not overly extended, angles and pulses will need to be less extreme, it is pushing the limit and ideally we would have a heavy duty model. As far as sets, the only sets will be with 6105 or 6075 for now and possibly later we will introduce a heavy duty model with 6255, the limit is not the device itself it is the clamp to the tank and the pump being secure against that much thrust at varying angles.

Thank you that explains and clarify my concern. I have a 3/4” 5’ but will be upgrading to a 6’ before long will two 6255 be sufficient for heavy rock work full sps?

Odds are the 6105 can do it, that is not that large a tank, there is a considerable efficiency gain from the oscillation. If you got to the German YouTube channel they have videos of a few tanks much, much larger than this using just a few 6105 models, they are combined with other pumps but this really is not that large of a tank, I would generally recommend 2 standard 6105's for a typical 6ft 180 for SPS.

There are also some English videos

I run 2 6255's on Sea Sweeps in my 60×30×21. They are all you need.
I run only a little above the lowest setting.
I have plenty of power left when the system grows in.

I would have went with the ORCA if it was available at the time.
I am going to use one with the 6105 on my 36×36×19 and it will be all I need.
Current system.

That’s awesome, I currently run 2/ 350 gyres 90%, 2- dmp-45 70% and 2 Nero 7 @ 50% that’s why I was leaning towards the 6255

I still want to pickup an ORCA.
I am going to order 2 paddles for the sweeps just in case I want to run the pump below.
This is a MOW 22 mounted on the paddle of a new/used Sweep I just got.

is the mow 22 the china clone of a tunze? the oscilating design i have no doubt would be much better for a system my concern is with replacing my existing lid, and then if so future moves of the orca

I run 2 6075s on my 100g tank. Sadly, to add the Orcas to the setup likely means at least one new lid, if not 2 and that is another $400 😭 🤣
My thoughts exactly, the aftermath of innovation is expensive

Yes a clone. Good pumps at a fraction of the cost.

i watched the youtube on the tunze factory, it makes it super hard to buy the knockoff after doing so. The quality and small business aspect of things makes that a tough decision. No doubt the clone would be better for my bank account.

They are coming very soon, in fact I will likely have them in the warehouse in a couple weeks, the main issue will be that the app is fully translated and available, then they can ship out. I want to make clear that there is nothing like the ORCA, this is not just an oscillator, you are coordinating the angle the pump is at with the flow rate at that angle and the Tunze app is an entire reef management tool, it can import ICP tests and log all critical parameters for the tank and is part of a much bigger project, eventually the existing HUB pumps and all products will use this app.

I’m hoping to eliminate maintaining multiples by utilizing the oscillation and variable speed control. Thanks

When will the ORCA be available in black?
