Orphek gen?

Just bought a orphek light that was sold to me as a icon but is obviously not. Just wanted to know if anyone knows the gen of it and if it’s worth keeping. Thanks

Looks like a Gen 1 to me but can't say for sure. Whether or not it is worth it to you is hard to say. A relatively good light but not close to an ICON.

Gen two which may have a black box . If you have a white box with a controller, then Gen 1. Ive owned every gen thus far. Gen 3 came with a white WiFi unit with 4 little lights

They are all upgradable. Question is if it’s worth it, as if you paid “used iCon“ price and now have to shell out hundreds more to make it what you thought it was originally.

If white box, its a gen 1. Regarding your concern- Not worth upgrading- Youre better off going to V4 Atlantik. You may also be able to finda couple V4 boards and chips reasonably priced from someone who upgraded to Icon. I run V4.2 and icon units,

Thanks for all the info! V4 upgrade may be my best bet since I don’t wanna spend another $500 on the icon upgrade
