Me too. I'm in Colorado, have had 3 major back surgeries, and currently sport over a dozen pieces of stainless steel in my lower back. Bolts, rods, spreaders and cages. I'm a walking weather vane. Also turns out I'm highly allergic to narcotics. I had never taken prescription drugs like that until I hurt my back. You don't walk into a surgical facility and get a lumbar cage overnight, so doctors were trying to manage my pain while we waited for a surgeon and operating room. It took 15 months to get the surgery. They kept prescribing all these high level pain pills and I kept ending up in the emergency room. Almost died from the Hydrocodone. I get deathly sick on Percocet, Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Demerol, Hydrocodone etc... and who the heck wants to pop morphine pills on a daily basis? Not this fat kid!! I needed pain relief but ibuprofen wasn't cutting it. I started gardening indoors in 2017 and it's been a lifesaver. My mom taught me how to tend plants when I was a small boy. She and I grew a very large vegetable garden together, for decades. I find my indoor garden to be quite cathartic. It's my Zen place to sit and relax and pet the dogs. They enjoy the heat from the lights. Wish my Mom could see it. She'd be shocked, but proud I think. I do quite well with the plants. Sadly Mom passed in 2013 before I ever started growing my own medicine.

Other hobbies:
Guns:
They're like shoes and purses for women --- too many? Hahahaaa NEVER!!!

RC airplanes:
I used to fly radio control airplanes (see username) but I gave it up in 2014 during a divorce. I love airplanes. They make my soul sing and my heart pitter patter. I haven't flown a plane in over 5 years and I miss it terribly. My wife has been encouraging me to take it up again, but it's just so expensive. You guys think reef tanks are expensive? Not even close to a nice 100cc plane with all the digital servos and other gear required. I'd feel guilty about having 3 very expensive hobbies. (guns, airplanes and fish tanks) The garden is cheap. She is so kind and loves me more than I deserve. I'm truly blessed. She said to get a couple planes, build them over the coming winter and start flying again next spring.

Fishing:
We both like fishing and have been looking at aluminum fishing boats. We want a Starcraft Fishmaster 210 dual console with a 200hp engine. They're expensive though. We'd have to save for a year and then probably finance the other half of it.

Hunting:
When I met my wife, she already had 3 handguns and a concealed carry permit. We both like shooting sports (punching paper mostly). I bought her a Savage Lady Hunter 7mm-08 bolt action with a 4x16 x 50mm scope for her birthday in 2017. She's quite a shot. That rifle was expensive, but seeing her get used to it and learn to shoot it has been very fun and rewarding to watch. She went from being intimidated by it, to OWNING it. She can hit a coffee cup sized target at 300 yards.. every shot. She's like a machine when she gets that rifle in her hands. I would not want to be in her scope sights.... ever. :D

Despite the fact that you put an LS in a fox, I wish I could like this twice. :)

I also have a foxbody, mine's an 88 w/a 331 stroker. Then I have a 95 GT road course car from the Bondurant school which was prepped by Roush. The current project is a 63 Galaxie with a 520ci stoker based on a 427 side oiler. That one is getting dyno'd next month but expecting 750hp naturally aspirated on pump gas.

;Woot
Galaxies are such cool cars! anything over 600hp just on the motor is impressive in my opinion! I've always wanted one, but my wife swears that we have a small car lot!

That Fox sounds nice, 331's are nice! torque monsters for sure. my fox started out with the 302 then we went with a 347 on nitrous and it took a beating, went 10.80's with it then the bottom end finally split. after that mishap we went 416 with a 98mm turbo good for 1500-1600whp and ran that out the back door 8.30's. had oiling issues and blew it up. after that I didn't want to drop so much money into it so I just ended up going to a junk yard and got a drive train out of a wrecked pickup for $500 pulled apart the motor reringed it and freshened up the rotating assembly, added a Brian Tooley turbo cam and a camaro intake. nitrous was fun on that setup but the turbo needed to happen! haha.

Couple shots when we finished the swap and the very few nights we were on the bottle...

haha we also have 53 4 door Bel Air (210) with a 4.8 LS and a YSI charger on it, that's the sunday cruiser especially during the summer with the AC. Just this morning I dropped the kids off at school in the Fox, the principal and campus police stopped me and asked if it was street legal, I said "Yes sir, its on DOT drag radials"! they were cool about it and the boys like riding in the car. yesterday I dropped them off in the bel-air and dumped the airbags in front of the school so they can get out in style!

I'm on the downslope of a three year fixation on locating all the real life places in the young guns movies or anything related to young guns or accurate Billy the kid history or archaeology. I dang near cried when after traveling and searching ten times around ft sumner I finally found the actual stinking spring location. Last free nite Billy spent was in between these actual foundation stones still left

Here it is, only drone video in the world of the site. Not easily found at all, and on private land req permission
Google pin is at wrong place on purpose, owners don't want picking or disturbance
The wagon tracks are still viewable, barely. The land exists as it did. Processed and measured historical claims with early 3 d drone modeling software. First 3d scan of Lincoln county war history
Last known photo of the rock house, 1930s, before disassembly. Ridge in background

Regulators!

Charlie Bowdre was shot in a doorway that existed on the top/north side of the foundation. Garrett really did shoot a horse to block the doorway. take just a sec to reflect on historical significance of those rocks, Hollywood portrayals of stinking spring, and a historical article on details from true west mag:

Did you see the size of that chicken??

:cool::cool::cool:

that's awesome! definitely one of a kind right there!!!!

Thank you! Though, there are actually a fair number of LS swapped DeLoreans. Around a dozen known ones around the world, and currently growing. My car was actually the beta test mule for a friend of mine who is developing kits to swap the car without the need for any welding or fabrication.

Nice!
when you think about it, its still rare if there is still around 12 LS swapped DeLoreans! LS swapped foxbodys are a dime a dozen nowadays, in El Paso Texas I was the first one to do it, and now there are like 5 and I have done 4 of the 5! haha so I guess I'm to blame for it haha

I have such a thing for LS motors. Building/repairing them is kind of a sub-hobby for me. If I could physically fit one into my Lotus Elise, I would, haha!

Do you have a website or video on your swap(s)?

don't have a website on them, nor have I posted them on forums, but I just uploaded one on youtube per the request... this is just a start up with the fresh tune for nitrous... it was a quick tune on the dyno, I guess I have gotten a little better at the tuning of them especially on e85...

my son had taken these from the stands, I will download some of the gopro film with the current setup and the 8.80 passes, those are way cooler!

Here is a bonus vid lol this is from 2008 when i used to race hondas..... 1.6l with a Garret 40R turbo making 780hp..... it was fun reeling guys in and blowing their doors off at the big end of the track!

As an honest answer though, I like games, movies, anime, comics, finding and collecting music in a never ending cycle of enjoying a song for a little while and then moving to a completely different genre/style, cooking and trying to cook new things, grilling, and drinking beer.

The world of reefing is new to me but I have finally decided to get my hands wet after admiring the alien marine world from the sidelines for too long. Looking forward to getting my tank rolling. Currently in the cycling stage.

Ive had many hobbies over the years, played hockey for 19 and a lot of watersports. These days it's just woodworking, playing guitar, 3D printing, gaming, and reefing.

I also keep two freshwater tanks and do artwork. Video games as well. I like to relax in front of the tv and emerse myself into a new world. Helps escape the mundane.
