Welcome, I will say every coral looks different under different lightning and will most definitely change colors.

Find a store that uses or online vendor that uses a quality DSLR camera to get the best possible idea on the coral you are buying.

Also, I would highly recommend Ebay Auctions, I have won a TON of stuff off ebay auctions for cheap.
