Came across a picture of my reef when I first started reefing - May 27th, 2017. We had no clue what we were doing. Canister filter, cheap lights, Home Depot sand, Abalone shells (one even was full of chaeto), and if you look hard you can see my homemade skimmer.

Making some slow progress on the NPS reef. On top of the 50+ heads of Australian Orange Sun Coral, I have added 4 Heads of Dendros, and some tiny (1mm) Yellow Sun Corals that I hope will spawn and take over the whole reef in time. I wont lie, it is a bit of work to make sure each head gets food and I can see how feeding these non-photosythetic corals could really pollute a reef tank quick (good thing I have 25 Damsels in the tank to clean up the scraps) The Orange Sun is all fat from just eating a cube of Mysis:
