If you're trying to plumb a bean animal, then you only need two "U" or "C" fittings for your main (w/gate valve) and secondary drains. Your emergency drain should be slightly below the top part of the box (standard straight pipe), about a half an inch below. Take a pic of the inside of the external box.

Generally speaking, we'll set a bean animal drain up with a primary, secondary drain, and emergency drain. From what I can tell in the photo, the left drain seems to be set up as the primary drain, which will be set to a full siphon. The drain on the right is likely set up as the secondary drain. The contraption here is a little unusual, but what I'm guessing is that the previous owner set this up this way to reduce noise. Then the middle drain will be your emergency drain. This drain is only used if one of the other two drains gets clogged.

Didn’t realize it was a bean setup, I was confused with that silencer on top

Ah, yes. Now that I see this angle, it looks like they have the right drain set up durso style to reduce noise. The 1/4" RO tubing is a little bit of an eye sore, but still functional. Usually reefers will just drill a small hole in the top of the durso secondary drain and call it a day.

Yeah, I would just drill a hole in the top of the fitting (U fitting) and remove the extra parts. If it’s set up properly, then it should be silent. To ensure this, make sure the water level inside the external box completely covers the primary drain. Use the gate valve (which should be on the primary drain?) to fine tune until it runs silent.
