hey guys will tell you the process ive done first with the help of everyone here
I bought some old used rock
I powerwashed it then i soaked my in bleach for a few days and then removed it, and left it in the sun for a couple days
Then put it in rodi water with prime

It has been in the prime for almost 24 hours and i tested it for phosphate and i got a reading of 0.5
the tub i have the rock in is quite full with rock not sure if that make a difference
And my tank is still empty

I know 0.5 isnt good, my question is should i reduce the phosphate before i start my cycle
Or during ? Any suggestions will be appreciated

Add a pouch of chemipure elite which will keep nitrate and phosphate in check and also will polish your water and reduce chance of dinoflagellates
