Paly grandis?

I had some cinnamon grandis just like that were growing underneath a massive toadstool and didnt get any light, they got their color back once they were moved and got light again.

Mind if I ask for a pic? I’m super excited to see what these turn out like. I’ve always wanted a set but could never find them.

There have been a few pictures posted in this thread of the grandis with green, the cinnamon looks the same just without the green.

Hey footgal, can I place zoa next to grandis or will the grandis sting the zoa? I’m new to Palys.

All zoas and palys can touch each other with no issues, just make sure the palys arent gonna shade out any zoas you put underneath them :)

They'll try to grow over any zoas you put them directly next to, but that's about it. They may irritate other corals that they directly touch, and will try to grow over those as well. They're actually vulnerable to being stung, too- they don't have much defense against sweepers.

Agreed, their main defense is out-competing their competition for real estate and light. They usually dont harm other corals, I have a tiny chalice frag as well as scolys, a clam, BTA, and even acropora directly touching my zoas and all parties have been fine with this arrangement for 6 months now. Just keep an eye on their growth rates and make sure that anything neighboring zoas/palys are doing alright and growing well

If your lights are dim, your ph is low Or you are not feeding them. . . they can and may bleach as In researching, white palys are unheard of.
I suspect lighting and loss of xooanthele which is their food source and is missing.

Well I just got them so I’m not sure what kind of environment they were in. My pH is fine (8.0-8.2) and my lighting is growing hard corals fine.
