The tds out of my rodi was 9 on the out and 15 after the membrane so I swapped out all of the filters. I flushed 10 minutes and dumped about 30g of the first of the rodi water. Still 15 on the membrane and zero on the final output. The old membrane was only about 3 months old and right at 4 weeks on the rest of the filters. I wonder if either I keep getting bad membranes or if that meter is off. The meter was replaced last month too.

Anyways, on to the fun stuff!

The tank is about 1/4 full so I’m looking at probably 5 days til I’m ready to mix in the 6:1 ratio of Red Sea and Red Sea Pro. This gives me right at 8.6 dKH for the mix. I’ll mix for half a day and circulate it with the other 500 gallons.

I glued some 3/4” plywood strips to the back of the frame to hold panels in place to hide all the wires and stuff for the lights and powerheads. I used 1/4” Masonite and painted it wall color so it blends in. I’ll use some magnets to keep the panels flat. There will be ones for the sides too but I’ll wait til the tank is stocked and I’m finished messing with the powerheads, wires, lights etc. I already have grubby paw prints from putting the back panels in place so I’ll wait til last to do the trim pieces so everything stays looking nice.

I have a slight feeling you are going to add a few more lights in the future based on what I saw you have for colonies on IG....

The colonies are getting big again for sure. Hopefully I don’t need any more lights. I liked the spread over my 220 with the same lighting setup and the new tank is just double that footprint. The lighting I have to go over the lagoon is only 3 feet, so I might ditch that hybrid fixture and get another Radion and 2 Or3 bars. I really like the one I have over the 270 to supplement the halides.

Rock and most of the lps are in! I have some work to do with the big pile on the back side, but won’t know til the sps start going in. Most of my colonies are on big rocks, so I can rearrange more once they start going in. I can can do that once the rest of the mp60s get here - hopefully by next week. Mp40 is on the front glass for now, only temporary though til I have the rest of the pumps.

I cleared out my 45g frag tank and now it is just holding the leftover rock. The Desjardini Sailfin, Kole, and Tomoni tangs were moved from there in to the 360. I feel terrible that they were in that little tank for so long. They are all over the 360 now exploring and taking some fast laps. They look so happy! The rest of the crew will join them when the sps go in.

Added the other fixture and some stonies on the side with the flow. I have the sps still on the tiles for now until I get the placement figured out. I ordered a bucket of the reef cement and can already see that I will need to get these little rock piles glued together once the mp60s are in. The big colonies are like sails.

Also I put the 36” Aquatic Life hybrid over the lagoon after changing out the bulbs. I raised it up about 4” to get better light spread and bumped up the intensity from 70 to 75%. I jammed all of the remaining corals to the middle of the tank but I feel like I will need one more xr30 to even out the lighting. I made a couple of attempts to get some of the fish out but they were skeptical and stayed hidden aside from the pair of percs. They are too friendly to know what was up so I scooped them up with a net in a few minutes and moved them up to the 360. They were cruising around immediately and looking for a couch to chill in. They found the giant brain coral again and laid back to relax for the night.

Looks great! I called it on the lighting... :p I also added another XR 30 on each row. How high do you have them above the water level?

Thanks! I’m staying with the 6 xr30 and 4 t5 over the 360 as planned for now, it’s the frag tank I’m wanting to add another xr30 to. I took that whole setup over the frag tank and doubled it for the 360, so now the big frag tank only has the 2 xr30 that was over my little frag tank. I hope that once I get the rest of the colonies in the 360 that 2 xr30s will be enough for the frag tank.

I added another Wyze cam earlier this summer since we were out of town so much. I love this thing!

I like them. It’s nice to have everything all together in one fixture and I need the light spread that the t5 gives.

You are a brave man with the MP hanging on thick glass like that without any security. :D

I make sure all of the surfaces are VERY clean and I don’t have an issue. The mp60 on the back was brand new so I peeled off the adhesive and stuck the dry side right to the back of the tank without any spacer. The back glass is a tad over 1 1/8” thick so needed all the space I could get.
