Is the point intensity also at 100%?It’s at 100%
It’s rightThat doesn’t seem right. Might want to call eco tech.
I am speechless!!It’s right
These g6 xr15 pros are par weaklings
I had to get 3 for a 50g cube
I had 2 originally but I had to crank them up to 100% intensity to get close to the par of my previous hydra 52s. But I had a couple Tenuis bleach and later rtn from led burn, even though the par was lower than the old lights. I added the third so I could run them at 70%, with higher par and all the corals seem much happier now.I am speechless!!
G5s have different lenses than the G6sI run 2 of the XR15 G5's with 4 36" T5 bulbs over my 70g Its about 9 inches off of the surface and @30% I get 400 right below the surface under the XR15's and 200 at the ground
Is that with the T5s off? I have gen 5 on my 36 inch tank and recently par tested and was shocked how low the numbers were. I'm at 100 percent now for 300 par few inches below the water.I run 2 of the XR15 G5's with 4 36" T5 bulbs over my 70g Its about 9 inches off of the surface and @30% I get 400 right below the surface under the XR15's and 200 at the ground
Did you custom fit a sponge over your box? It’s right

This! Make sure you have both point intensity and Schedule Intensity set correctly. Is the point intensity also at 100%?
He has it right. Trust me. These lights are very weak when it comes to par measurements. I agree with @92Miata that par is not the whole story and end all be all, bc I learned the hard way. Bleaching corals at 275-300 par bc the LEDs are maxed out is not what you want to do.This! Make sure you have both point intensity and Schedule Intensity set correctly.
Mobius is a bit confusing.
Could you share screenshot of your lights profile?
Very interesting! I thought the G6 was supposed to be an improvement over the G5?He has it right. Trust me. These lights are very weak when it comes to par measurements. The term "improvement" depends on what factor.Very interesting! I thought the G6 was supposed to be an improvement over the G5?
On full you should get close to this. At 6" there isn't much in the way usually.Par readings 6in below water with mounting height 9in is only 250 with ab+ 100% schedule Intensity?
