Can anyone help me identify what’s this is on my Achilles? It’s been there a few days and doesn’t seem to be effecting his behavior but looks weird. Thanks

would love to see closer image but may be a trematode. Dont think its an isopod. Nematode will look like below:

Isopod:

The usual treatments would be Prazipro, General Cure, Freshwater dips and Formalin based such as quick cure

Here are some better pics
Sorry, not clear enough to make a positive ID. I doubt it is a parasite, and even if it is, one isn’t going to harm the fish.
My guess is that it is a bit of scraped skin that is hanging loose off the fish. If it showed up all at once, that would reenforce that idea. If it grew larger over time, then that would be ruled out.
I don’t see any drastic treatment unless some additional symptoms develop.

Ok thanks, that was kinda my thought on it, it did show up all at once and didn’t notice a growth over time. I just don’t want to do unnecessary treatments that stress the fish, the tank or myself lol

looking at pics, agree with Jay that it looks like fish ran into something with an edge. One nice thing about saltwater fish is their ability to heal and quickly. Keep at eye on it to assure its in the right direction.
I assume fish is eating and breathing normally and not labored ?
BTW- Nice achilles

Thank you! Yes the Achilles has a great appetite, y’all had actually answered some questions about this fish when I had it qt awhile back. I had him in copper power and after a couple weeks he started flashing so I gave him 3 rounds of prazi and after just the first couple days the flashing subsided. Then he stopped eating for 3 days when he was introduced into the dt, we assumed it was constipated and after he passed whatever it was he’s been in great health since gaining weight like a champ. He’s a model citizen in the tank and I love him lol, although I’m always watching closely and a little nervous cuz of everything I hear about it being a difficult fish, but so far so good! :) thanks for the help!
