How long do you have to make a dispute through paypal?

yep 45 days unless other people are being ripped off too. Then paypal kinda groups you with them and puts it through early. I have had it happen on a purchase.

How long do you have to make a dispute through paypal?

If you where the buyer. If you payed with credit card with pay pal it is a lot easyer to deal with the cc company than with pay pal. Pluse you will get all the funds back. So make sure to always pay with your cc if you can.


I had a guy on ebay try to take me for close to a grand for a set of mustang cobra r rims. I just called the cc company and they took care of it right than for me no qwestions asked.

You have 45 days. If it wasn't an ebay purchase and you received the package, they will just close the dispute, after you escalate to a claim. As said before go though your CC company. PP is own by ebay and only protect ebay purchases. trust me i went though a dispute to a claim for over two months only to have it close as soon as i made it a claim.

I call PP and the lady told me that their is nothing they could do, if it wasn't purchase from ebay. It was a good thing that I could repair the item purchase and receive half the value that it was insured by the shipping company. A big lesson learn. Only use CC when buying thuing with PP.

Good to know. I paid a member on MR's 32 days ago and I have not recieved anything from them yet. Guess Ill let them know that if I dont recieve anything by the 5th im gonna have to do a dispute.

I had a similar experience with an online vendor. I paid using paypal but since I actually recieved the package pp closed my dispute. It did not matter that the company did not send about 20% of my order and that a full half of the order was doa or died in the first few hours, jus tthat I recieved the box.

I disputed with the CC and they refunded all of my lost monies.
