I think it’s time to replace them for fire shrimp… all they do is tick off my rbta, tick off my yasha, steal food, flip over snails and try and eat any new coral added to the tank, I just wish fire shrimp weren’t so expensive.Peppermint shrimp eat Anemones. I have had true Peppermint eat maxi mini Anemones.
They don’t steal food in that way, I don’t feed my corals, they’ll go bother my other fish when they have food but I mean I guess it’s just nature.Replacing the peppermint shrimp with fire shrimp isn't going to solve your 'stealing food' gripe and although they may not directly eat any coral added to the tank, they will probably eventually start stealing (ripping) food out of coral mouths.

Ah, that looks like a pretty young tank without much coral yet. Just be aware that if you plan on adding coral or other anemone that have larger mouths and are more responsive to food (such as Duncans and Acans, which will grab food floating around in the water column) those shrimp (skunk cleaner, fire, peppermint) will more than likely start treating them like a vending machine. Since your tank is so young, you may still find that your RBTA is unhappy even if you remove the shrimp, they prefer more established tanks with diverse organisms. They don’t steal food in that way, I don’t feed my corals, they’ll go bother my other fish when they have food but I mean I guess it’s just nature.
The video of the peppermint shrimp jumping to steal the food was a long time ago, I think like 4-5 months ago now? The tank went through a very light ugly stage, just diatoms from rock and sand, and there’s currently green dust algae on the rocks and I’ve added in cope pods, phyto daily and microbacacter 7 every day, but yeah I think it’s not doing to well either because even with everything being added tanks still just not old enough, this is how it usually looksAh, that looks like a pretty young tank without much coral yet.
