So this just happened :)
Decided to run just Photon 32 fixture, and it appears more than capable. My starting peaks, are 9am to 6pm.
2 hour dawn ramp(7am) and 2 hour dusk ramp(8pm). Any input is greatly appreciated :)
Peaks:
Red- 10%
Green- 25%
White- 25%
Royal Blue- 90%
Other Blue- 90%
Violet- 90%

Edit: Fixture suspended 11" above water line.

I think photons have similar LEDs to my hydras. If you want a whiter looking spectrum try cranking the rb to 100 but lower the other blue to 50

Other blue is "cool blue" and thank you for the heads up. I finally got everything working, as it turns out, I set the time zone to US Eastern, but read somewhere it only sets Eastern time proper, if you choose America, NY. Fixed right away, it was default when setting up, my goof, lol. All good now, super easy to set up.
I am going to rest on the current settings, and my plan is to eventually raise white channels to peak of 40-50%, that should brighten things up. Will try looking over the recommendation next time I am in the app, and look at the tank under manual settings.
No hurry here, I have seen most, like Tim, crank all channels to 100% I believe, so time will tell. I have to say, it does look really nice on cables, those tank mounts are not pleasing to my eyes.

While I think the new photon is up to the task, I did not like the lack of punch in the back part of the bommie, so decided to suspend the SBREEF Rolan V22 behind the photon, suspended at equal heights to mimic one large panel. Problem solved, there is PLENTY of coverage now!

Edit: Photon- 230 watts Rolan V22- 180 watts. Total- 410 watts

Thanks John!
Full light here in this pic.
Thank you John!!!

I would also mention that whatever uglies were in the tank are gone! No cyano, no dinos, a few sprouts of hair, and any bubble algae is a swift meal for my foxface, lol. Corraline is now on the rise. Here's a full spectrum shot of the tank, it's pretty clear that the biome is settling :)

Looking good! If I only had one choice and if size wasn’t an issue, one spot foxface would be my herbivore of choice every time. They are eating/grazing machines. I hated rehoming mine, he was simply awesome!

Foxface is 100% best algae grazer I have had. Mine has about another 8 months to a year before re-homing. Cannot believe how much it has grown in 6 months, freaking crazy!
A random shot earlier :)

Alright you guys, I decided to treat myself to one of Tim's RRC Jaw Dropper's! I have a nice size piece coming this Tuesday, and while I rarely spend more than $150 for a frag, I find this one to be every bit worth the price I paid, which is much more than my usual limit, lol. I will post a picture when it arrives :)

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
