The yellow for sure is still looking much better!! Amazing how much progress was made in a week. The redness in front of the eyes seems to be almost gone now even. LOL, then there's the "play dead " hippo, but it looks better as well. Looking good!
It looks more like scaring to me now but it does look less red. I'm not the expert here though so I want to make sure we're moving in the right direction

If it’s in your budget I’d strongly recommend the Hanna high range copper tester and at least 1 extra box of reagents. It only comes with 6 but it changes the game with copper.
I second that. makes using Copper Power so easy.

@Mjrenz

And the rest also looking to help:

Stand by - there is another something bigger may be developing in the background. Joe was gone for the night so I will talk with him tomorrow. The guy I spoke with was great though. Another person in your area has a full setup and may want to pass it on.

More tomorrow.

@Frtdrmrose7 @ngoodermuth @HotRocks @4FordFamily I have a question. I did the second dose of prazi a few hours ago and the final dose of antibiotics (furan 2 and triple sulfa) for the blue tang. I have two air pumps in the tank but she looks distressed and is breathing rapidly and flapping her fins like crazy. Should I do a water change and redose the abx then just do another round of prazi later, add pure o2, or something else?

Prazi does it’s work very quickly, you can replace as much water as possible and re-dose and other meds as well. Ensure powerheads are breaking the surface and bubbler has the smallest bubbles possible.

There's a lot of surface agitation but I'm using an air pump without a stone to do it, my smallest powerhead is way too big for this tank. I also have a second pump with an air stone for finer bubbles pumping a lot of air. I actually did grab my o2 tank and start it up in the few minutes it took me to hear from you. So just 3 hours will be enough for the second dose of prazi?

+1 change the water and just finish the antibiotics first.
Thank you both for the quick responses

It warms my heart to see all of these strangers come together to help a truly good person save two fish. The fact you went back to get those fish, after your wife told you about them, says so much about the type of person you are! I am so glad to be part of R2R!!

Thank you so much, I'm so happy that I'm part of this wonderful group also. I wouldn't have the ability to keep them alive if it weren't for the excellent advice everyone is giving me

After just 5 minutes or so with the o2 in the tank she's acting normal and breathing normal again.

That’s good to know it came in handy! How did you administer it? Do you have any pictures... I’m curious :)

I do have pics, I have a torch that I use for work, I just took the o2 hose off of the torch tip and used a very high tech method of attaching an air hose with electrical tape to the end of it. I turned the regulator all the way down and slowly increased it until I had a decent amount of o2 coming out of an air stone

Just don't hook up to the acetylene tank LOL!!! :)

Just for future reference. Prazi is a major oxygen killer. Plus the combination of the antibiotics in the tank require heavy agitation. Good thinking on the pure oxygen from the torch.

I was warned about the oxygen and that's why it's the first thing I grabbed when I saw her in distress. I took the extra step of taking the hose off so there was no chance of the acetylene contaminating it:)

Awesome use of the oxy/acetylene torch! This has been an encouraging thread to follow. R2R is so much more than a forum. I love this community! Good on you for all you are doing for these formally neglected fish.
