She has been doing very well considering what she's been through, I'm just hoping she can come out of QT with a clean bill of health. I'm still bummed about Mr Yellow Tang, I probably should have tried the MB on him also. I thought about it but he had already been through a fwd and a fungus cure bath and I didn't want to stress him more by scooping him up againBig improvement ! Those fish were in really bad shape .
Should I leave everything the way it is for right now?
Would it be safe to drop it more right now? Also, should I plug the heater back in? I went into salvage mode this morning and did everything I could do with the time I had before work to keep her aliveThe lower salinity is probably helping as well. Hypo-salinity is another option for prazi-resistant flukes....

That's where I'm at, I dropped it based on the salvage protocolYou could just do that also instead of the fenbendazole. You’re already at 1.017 right?

I’d say since the initial drop was this morning could bring it down a bit further tonight if you want. It’s easier going down than up. But, I wouldn’t bring it the whole way to 1.011 all in one shot.
Maybe bring it down to 1.015 tonight, 1.013 in the morning, and 1.011 tomorrow night.
Just remember, going back up should happen much more slowly. For that I usually just top-off with saltwater and let evaporation do the work for me.
That sounds like a great idea, do you think there would be any harm in using both treatments? (hypo salinity and fenbendazole) Also, should I continue with the antibiotics?I’d say since the initial drop was this morning could bring it down a bit further tonight if you want. I don’t know why I didn’t think of hypo sooner...[emoji2360]
I think I remember reading about the hypo when I first read the thread about fenbendazole, didn't @ckalupa use that method?I’m guilty of the same, I think we just get so used to a certain protocol we forget about other options. That’s why this forum works so well a lot of different ideas.
Tracking says wed by 8 pm, let’s hope
Wow! Thank you!I’ve ordered some from Amazon. It’s guaranteed to be there Thursday..just in case!
I don't have any calibration fluid for my refractometer and I'm just using rodi to zero it. It's usually right on with the Milwaukee refractometer my lfs uses but I don't know that I trust it that much to drop it all at onceYou really can drop the salinity with no acclimation at all. I drop almost all of my fish straight into 1.009 on arrival. Doesn’t have any negative effect at all. Just have to make sure your refractometer is properly calibrated so you don’t mistakenly go too low.

Maybe someone should write up a sticky thread about prazi resistant flukes, unless I'm mistaken I don't think there is oneI’m guilty of the same, I think we just get so used to a certain protocol we forget about other options. That’s why this forum works so well a lot of different ideas.
