Well as the title states my pink tabling acro has been turning green. Nothing has changed. Ever since I had put it in the tank it turned from a pink to a green. Is this color changing like a red planet which turns green in low light(I know this is true due to the fact I had one and it turned green in low light, upped the lighting and is in the process of turning red again...Yay). Any tips would be appreciated.

Can I ask your photo period , lights including ramps and color ratios.

How long ago did you change the light?
What exactly did you change?

What salt are you using? Always used it?

How long have you had it? I find Hyacinthus often (but not always) turn green after they adjust from the wild...hence I rarely buy them...

When this has happened in my sps tanks it is usually a lighting issue.... A drop in par (i.e., Bulbs going bad, LED issue).

i use two blue t5 as supplements too my kessila160's. I keep them on the bluere sectrum and run the kessils around 80% intensity.

Well correct me if wrong but the bluer a kessil is the higher the par. So maybe lighting is not an issue. Have you read the reef builders guide to sps color ?

you are correct from my understanding for the kessil lights. I have read it numerous times. I dose the addiives needed but still only green. I did just change up my flow to an upgrade which is a gyre now so we will see if that helps.

Not true. I have had 360s and now 700s. As I change from blue to white it goes up until a little passed mid way then PAR goes down again. Done many times with Apogee 520.

I must have been miss informed then. But what else could be the issue for it becoming green?

It's trace element problembs I think.

What does not appear in this thread is this is a no water change tank correct?

Some do report (as have I ) over lighting may cause greening.
Esp imo with too much blue
Are you tracking and testing each trace element involved per the Red Sea or DSR methods?

And easy fix I used was to decrease overall intensity at peak lighting. I did not change colors.
