Hi Brains trust

I need some help in identifying (i think it’s a Gonipora) and recommended care for this coral ie recommended flow and amount of light
My lFS told me high in the tank with ned to high flow but i am just wanting clarification

Yep, goniopora. Best way to describe their care is that they’re very flexible. I have them thriving in high light and flow but my LFS has them thriving in lower light and lower flow.

Yes, a goniopora. Most people keep them lower in the tank, on the sand bed at PAR around 50-150. There are some higher end gonis that do better at higher PAR but that’s usually to try to bring out super bright colors and multiple tones. They do well in all sorts of flow, I try to keep mine in med to high flow but some of them would likely be happier at lower than I have them at. They still do well.

They like to be fed reef roids or similar every few days. But be careful with nutrients
