Please help !! What is this on my tang

Hey guys so i have a brown powder tang i passed him threw 30 day qt and added to dt about 2 1/2 months ago has been doing fine eating well ect 2-3 days ago i saw him kinda swiming eradictly almost as if he was seeing his reflection in the tank and swiming fast across the glass well today got back from work and noticed this on him
Not to sure what it is anyone have some light to shed on this ? Thank you

This is a close up his fin also has white on it directly where it touches the wound on the body if that makes sense

Lokks like either an injury or sting from anemone, euphyllia or similar. Kee an eye on it to assure it does not develope into an infection (bacterial or Fungal)

Now seeing this enlarged version, I wonder if its an isopod? If you give this fish a 5 minute freshwater dip the same temp as your display tank, most pods will dislodge.

Its not a isopod almost looks like a burn or somthing because his fin is also afected and lays on the wound i have a decent size 6-8 inch tube anemon would a sting from it be that big ? I didnt think so but not sure anymore at first also thought mabey hlle

Sting was my strong suspicion and tube anemone can deliver a good sting and even have been known to consume smaller fish

Alright il suspect that as the culprite for the moment and keep and eye on it hes eating and acting normal beside the sometimes eratic behavior that looks like hes chasing his own reflection haha should this heal by its self ?

so to you tho this does not look like any disease of anykind thanks

Rings around an injury are pretty common - I think the skin blanched due to the injury. Could be a sting, but do you have any other tangs that could have swiped at it?

Hey i have a hippo tang small a scopas and a tomini but iv never seen them bother him and have a large tube anemon but not sure this happend today sometime was not there yesterday also i finding him a little more skiddish and stressed everyone eles in the tank is acting normal and they all eat like pigs including the brown

If it was a spine strike from the scopas it would be over in a split second and you’d likely never see it happen. Could be a bite mark as mentioned, but those are fish aren’t well known biters.
Unless this grows larger, I don’t think you need to try to treat it.
