Poll: How do you feed your corals?

Except my non photosynthetics I dont feed often.

I usually just add reef roids and reef chili to the frozen Mysis for fish and let it broadcast with return off. I also add phyto twice a week in the evening right into return section.

Spot feed twice a week for all my LPS/anemones using a mixture of CA Mysis and @Reef Nutrition TDO Pellet that has been soaked in Oyster Feast.

I also broadcast Reef Nutrition ROE ever morning, Red Sea's Reef Energy nightly, and my AFS feeds TDO twice a day while I'm gone. I also use Phyto-Feast a few times a week for my filter feeders and pods.

I target feed once a week or so, but my acans and BTA usually catches something when I feed the fish.

I broadcast feed my corals at night a slurry of ReefRoids, Frozen, and Flakes.

I typically broadcast feed the tank a rods/roids/ova slurry once a week at night; though, truth be told, it's as much about pulling my zebra eel out of the rocks to eat as actually feeding the corals LOL.

I have a 3 gallon reef jar. It has coral that are target fed and also coral that are fed by broadcasting. That is why I checked the first 2 choices.

I checked the 3rd choice, which is that I do not feed my coral because I also have a seahorse tank that has coral, and macro algae. I do not feed those at all because of seahorse's vulnerability to bacterial infections.

We broadcast and target feed. LRS reef frenzy and reef cavier is the fish staple. Reef nutrition oyster feast and reef roids are what is used for spot feeding.

So far the poll says more Folks broadcast feed for their corals. I assumed it was more targeting. How about day or night? I do this after lights out with the return off. I pour some juice left after thawing my frozen fish food with some fish roe or oyster feast ? maybe some mashed up mysis . I leave the return off for an hour or so.

Crinoid count as corals now ;), I broadcast feed Nutramar Ova and the Fauna Marin Non-Photo Line, I find that with Filter Feeding Gorgonians when you try to spot feed they only close up because of the water being blown on them, Not because of the food.

SPS, zoas or anything with small mouth gets phytoplankton via turkey bastor. Anything with tentacles or a big mouth gets pellets.

Broadcast 3x week and spot feed 1-2x a week my lps dominant tank. Probably for my own enjoyment. Mix of reef roids, dried plankton dust, and Microvore for spot. Zooplankton and Microvore for broadcast.

I used to spot feed every mouth 2-3x per week, then I got more corals...and then they started to grow and split, thus having more mouths to feed...

I do the occasional spot feed on SPS and LPS, but vary rarely, everything else is water column from broadcast feeding my fish and inverts or photosynthesis and I occasionally add in reef roids.

I havent in quite a while, but I do feed my quad color BTA with headless silverside fish, I drop the heads in the tank for the inverts.

Other than that I just sit back and let it do its thing.

I like to target feed when the lights are out and the corals are all reaching for food. So fun to watch them grab the Reef Chili and close up to digest it!
