Hi all,

After a little meet and greet it's time for a tank build!

I named the tank Polyp Lagoon, why? It's a shallow cube tank. Which will get an minimalistic lagoon scape and hold SPS. Simple as that!

Some specs:

Display: 700x700x400mm, 3 sides Optic-white
Sump: 685x600x400mm
Cabinet: aluminum stand, matte white C-Bond finish, wet and dry section

Equipment:

Lightning: ATI Powermodule 8x24w dimmable
Flow: 2x Tunze 6040
Return: Vectra M1
Skimmer: Deltec SC1351
Reactor: Deltec FR509
Doser: GHL Doser 2.0

Other info:

Dosing method: Aqua Forest Probiotic, using component 123+
Salt: Aqua Forest Reef Salt (later on it'll be Probiotic)

Feel free to ask as much info/pics you want...

Cheers!

btw the tank is being delivered today!

The idea was to get the tank upstairs in the man cave... but I think the stairs have shrunken a bit because I couldn't get the cabinet up! Oops

So got two options:

1: go through the backdoor, two levels up by roof, then eventually through a door.

2: convince the misses to leave it in the living room.

I'm lost between those two atm!

Thought it was time for an update:

Moved the tank itself downstairs last weekend. Had to clean it from lots of silicon grease, which wasn't an easy job at first. After reading a lot decided to go with acetone and a glass scraper... worked like a charm!

Next on the list was leak test, luckily things are still dry! I'll leave it for a few days just to be sure...

UPDATE:

The light I'm using on the tank will be the ATI Powermodule 8x24W dimmable. I finally had the time to actually measure everything out and mount it on the concrete ceiling!

The T5 combo I'll be using is, front/back:

- Blue +
- Coral +
- Blue +
- Coral +
- Actinic
- Blue +
- Coral +
- Blue +

UPDATE:

The new sump arrived today.
Black silicon looks much better!

Was hoping to get all my bit for the plumbing today. Sadly have to wait for a bit longer to get it all right. Spears gate valves are really hard to get in The Netherlands but luckily I managed to get one online!
