UPDATE:

So a little change did happen on the plumbing. I wanted it to be a little cleaner, and wanted to make the ATO reservoir more accessible. Still need to glue most parts... sadly ecotech doesn't make the Vectra wireless. So I'll be using some Velcro ties.

I'm going to use a GHL Doser 2.0 on the tank for the time being. It's the only part of equipment I kept from my previous tank.

And last, I had a little play with some Real Reef Rock.
Need to make a few changes though. The rock in the background needs to be a bit bigger to give some extra depth to the scape. But it's clear I'm going for a Lagoon style!

Polyp Lagoon , what made you go with a T5 Lighting choice vs say LEDs or like a hybrid light either MH/T5 or LED/T5? I am honestly thinking of a ATI SunPower for my build , I truly wish they had the Power Modules like you have in the States , I am a little jealous of your light [emoji12]

Hey Clayton! I used leds in the past. And looking at that it just didn’t gave me what I need. (Used the GhL mitras) I went with the Powermodule because of the dimensions. It’s ideal for a cube. Didn’t have the money for a hybrid otherwise I might taken that.... Can’t you import it over there? Might make it a bit to expensive isn’t it?

That makes sense if you will get what you want out of T5’s more power to it .. did you get the Dimmable PM or no? I thinking LED or T5 for my tank having a hard time deciding on a light. Between Ecotech XR15PRO ‘s G4 or a ATI SunPower..

I’ve got the dimmable one. But dimmable only means the ballasts are dimmable. Still need a controller. In example the profilux. Then I still will need a module to communicate with the profilux. So the sunpower really is much cheaper to get!

So it’s about time for an update don’t you think:

The tank has been filled finally!

Added a few Chromis Viridis as the first inhabitants...

I changed my bulb combo to a more whiteish look. Couldn’t stand the blues!!!

About two weeks ago I added the first two colonies!

Things are going well in the tank. Nitrates still need to get down to zero, it’s at 5 ppm now. Got dirty sand... and a little patch of cyano. But we’ll get there!!!
