I have had strange issues with LPS while my acros are bery healthy. I lost a few torches and now my hammer has the same issue. The polyps are fat and easily fall off and fly around the tank.

Paramas are all normal:
430ca
8 alk
1280 mag
10ppm nitrate
.09 phosphate

See hammer below, very fat and plump but falls off easily. It used to be more normal size.

By "falls out" do you mean the polyp leaves the skeleton (aka "polyp bail out")?

Anything peculiar about your source water? Standard RODI and a common salt mix?

Any potential contamination sources in your setup? (Eg metal hose clamps, etc)

May as well lay the rest of the stats and tank details on us....salinity? temperature? other stats? Filtration? Tank Age? etc.

Well, I wouldnt say its polyp bailout. It's just super fat like in the picture, and can easily dislodge from the Skelton. I've had bailout before but thats when they are usually skinny and melted. Most torches that go into my system end up with fat fat fat tentacles and then die lol. I suspected too much flow since its heavy in SPS. But I place these guys next to big rocks so its more peaceful flow by them.

Tank is about 2 years ago. Heavy in acro, which are doin very well.

Salt at 1.025, temp 79'
Salt mix is tropic marin pro.
BRS 7 stage rodi with a chromine monster. 0 TDS

I did lose a radion G5 screw (its the one that is about quarter inch long) about a year ago in the water. I tried to locate it but couldnt. Doesnt seem to impact anything else in the tank. 30+ acros, some very high end. Growing well.

High bioload. 5 tangs (gem, achiles, blue regal, purple and whitetail) and a few wrasse, clowns.

At least IME the swollen polyps were common to bailouts...but in my case it turned out to be contamination from an incorrect DI resin. Seemed to really only effect LPS, or at least effected them the most.

IMO that's VERY unlikely to be exactly what's happening in your case, but made me want to consider contamination of any kind.

As always, your mileage may vary. ;)

How’s the flow/oxygenation ? The cyano leads me to believe their is low flow , and I think of coral like trees in the wind , low flow makes them weak/fragile and high flow makes them strong and stable. But could be wrong if you indeed have high flow

Should post more info about your tank to get better recommendations. Full tank shot with description of equipment and feeding schedule could be useful. Usually having big fluffy euphillia is a good sign but if the polyps are falling off easily that is indeed odd.
