I have 1 large and 2 small colonies of Ponape Birdsnest whose tips used to be pointy but are now blunted. Does anyone know what would cause this and how can it be reversed? Thanks

Lack of growth? Birdsnests usually have sharp white tips if they are growing.

Like above they usually have pointy tips when growing. Are your parameters stable? Are you noticing similar things with your other SPS corals?

Lately I've had some instability in the tank mainly hi alkalinity and a low salinity. Alkalinity is coming down and salinity is up. Some corals took a hit, some lps and sps but other were still doing well. I guess I'll have to wait and see

I would say its a good possibility that's why. Keep an eye on the levels and see if it rebounds.
