Popeye or Gas Bubble Disease

The fish is in QT. Got like this maybe a couple days after arrival. I've been feeding medicated foods with no change for maybe a week. Any chance of it getting better? It's only in one eye. Started without air in it but now looks like that air inside.

Looks like popeye, likely accompanied with a bacterial infection.

You can add epsom salt (1 spoon per 5gal) as it’s been indicated to help with the swelling and I would also treat with erithromycin.

Yea, I've read up on the treatments. Just curious, with how bad this one looks, if this is in line with others who've experienced this and if so, did theirs get better.

It’s hard to tell, I’ve had some bad cases that recovered completely and some not so bad cases where the fish lost the eye. Best you can do is start treatment as early as possible. Good luck and keep us posted!
