yes it is, here in NJ they charge you "delivery fee" which fluctuates depending on time of day, i.e. peak vs quiet. Which sometimes is more expensive than electricity itself...
I’ve never had the delivery charge be more than 30% of the whole bill.
been averaging 3300kWh a month this summer

I'm in Southern California. My middle tier (first tier is very small), with all taxes, fees, payoffs, and bribes is $0.27/kWh.

Where in CA is @peffy03 ?

This is what I get from the electric company. I think they are trying to guilt me into using less electricity. Over 20 years of receiving these reports hasn’t changed my habits yet. Maybe next month I’ll get better about using less....

Must be a big tank and big house because I use to live in Loganville.
House is not huge, but 2 ac systems in the house and a mini split system in the basement. 135 gal display, basement sump, qt tank, pool, goldfish pond and a crapload of kids...

Wow, just thinking that if I was paying California rates, my electric bill (in Summer) would nearly equal my mortgage payment. That is brutal.

I checked into solar, but my roof line is too broken up. Couldn't make the math work @.09 per KWH.

All hobbies are relative... I don't know, but "about 77.34$ per month"... wouldn't that be one round of golf in most places?
Exactly. This is the cheapest hobby I’ve had as an adult. However it’s also the most money I’ve ever flushed down the drain, literally...

San Diego here. Bought a house with 96 panels generating over 15kW. Not sure what the previous owner was doing with all that power but needless to say i dont have an electric bill. Mortgage is a whole other story though....

Tear downs trade over a million so not as cheap is you might think. This is NYC commuter territory so it gets a bit stupid. Not that anyone commutes anymore. Everybody “works from home” now. The schools are awesome though.
