Pre-Order Euroquatics E5 Retrofit T5 LED Lamps

Your T5 will never be a T5 again!

The E5 is designed to work in sync with your original T5HO fixtures. These unique products showcase features that create an eco-friendly, longer lasting aquarium lamp. This new spin on an old design makes T5s a product of the past. With its sleek design, the E5 is made to last over five times the life span of an average T5HO lamp while consuming about half of the power.

Would these work with dimmable fixtures?

"E5 lamps are also dimmable if you have a dimmable T5 fixture," said Scott Bogner, Director and co-founder of Euroquatics. "The PAR values are at or above T5HO lamps. But it has the same look as T5HO in terms of the shimmer you're looking for. It's made to be a power saver for existing fixtures."

I Would say blue+. If you look at the spectral graph it spikes at 450nm. Actinic is around 420nm to 430nm. If they made a actinic(420nm) I would be in on this preorder.

It would be the Blue Pop and Cool Daylight.

We are hoping to start getting these sometime next month (updated: toward the end of next month or early January). As soon as we can get our hands on them, we will definitely get a few shots of them over a tank.

Good questions^^^

Another would be when are they going to be in stock?

All the bulbs are in stock and shipping (other than the pink that is due for release in a couple of months). They are selling fast and quantities are limited during this first release.

Output, spread and Par are very comparable to T5 bulbs and the E5 bulb radiates the light similarly. The advantage is significantly lower power usage, lower heat and longer life (up to 8 years). You can find the spectrum curves on our website:

60" T5 Blue Pop

As with T5 bulbs, the E5 bulbs are designed to be used in multi-bulb applications, so no specification is given for coverage for an individual bulb (as there are no coverage info provided for T5 bulbs) and the information provided for each bulb is similar to the spec chart/graph you see for comparable T5 bulbs.

We have had the opportunity to test the Blue Pop E5 bulbs for about a month now. So far, we have been pretty impressed. It does really give you that "pop" and corals seem to be doing just as well under these E5 bulbs as T5 bulbs.

So if I run all e5 bulbs in my 6 bulb fixture. Will it support sps?

What are the respective wattages for the 2', 3' 4' and 5' units?

Output wise, the E5 is very close to T5 bulbs. If 6 T5 bulbs can sustain SPS in your current tank, changing some or all the bulbs to E5 will do the same.

Wattages are 15W/23W/30W/40W, so the energy savings can add up quickly.
