No blue discos arent rare. Very invasive too. Fl ricordea less invasive but more common.
Invasive? Mine has barely even spread. 4 in total, 1 small baby is in my nano. My Yuma rics are all over the place but the rest are shy as ever and refuse to spread.

Hello Everybody

I must admit I am addicted to Collecting high end Mushrooms. We have some mushroom dominant tanks and have been hoarding them :) We finally feel our collection is decent enough to share...

We are happy that r2r has started a mushroom specific thread and excited to share some of these with you. We are also excited to see what we can find in the future and will be posting things as we can find them :)

Here is a few pics that are worth sharing!

In the last photo how are you able to successfully keep the mushrooms in there when the sps “needs” more light?

I am not much of a mushroom guy but I have red ones! One got lose and attracted in the back of the tank to a rock and now there are about that many more back there. When I bought them it was just 3 attached to a turbo snail shell. Wild mushrooms..

I actually just bought a yuma yesterday and now I'm terrified that I'll kill it. I've heard they're hard to keep?

Mushrooms don’t need low light, in fact they love high lighting. I have always had my mushrooms higher up in the tank in my larger tanks.

Mine thrived through everything… I don’t understand where people come from when they say they’re hard.
P.S. that centre one is Atleast an 8 inch diameter colony(?) if not 10-12 inches in diameter.

Yuma are easy to keep. are you checking your params and doing water changes?
Water changes, yes. Daily AWC. I've been a bit lazy lately about testing, but I'll get back on it

Yumas are pretty easy to grow, I used to have this colony that thrived in high light and high flow as well, just for reference they like to grow in the same location as I grow A.speciosas now.
