I use a Reef Octopus Varios 2 and alternate for cleaning with a Varios 4. The Varios 2 works great, quiet, zero vibration, but is turned up to the max to pump from my Eshopps RS200 sump up to my 90 DT so that I get a nice strong flow. Highly recommend RO Varios. Great service and you can actually get parts. No service and no parts is a deal breaker for me.

First need to get the hellos out of the way. Hello. In case you did a thread in meet and greet and I didn’t say hey there.

I like Eheim 1260 and Sicce Syncra. Both are mid range price and quiet.

i know I am going to get boos and attacked, but I like the Rio pumps. Everyone says they are bad but I had 2 on seperate tanks over the years and they never failed.

Thank you both for the input and looking up what you are both talking about! I did not go in to the meet and greet section and apologize if i was supposed to. Just new to the group and trying to educate myself as it is an investment and hobby for me so just trying to limit mistakes even though i know they will happen . :)

No requirement to post meet and greet. When I did it recently the welcome was nice. It gave some insight into the tone of the forum being great.

Also we get to know you. And ask questions anytime

FWIW, I started up the tank with a Jebao DC4000. The thing was noisy. So it's on my mixing station now and still going strong. I understand their new version of the 4000 is nice and quiet. The prices have gone up. And they have zero customer service, but $ talks. Plus they are DC so they will use less electricity. Give them a look. ;)

And welcome to R2R!
