So like it says and can be seen in the pics. Ive never heard of this before but my Pyramid has become an Aptasia eating machine. I mean if I drop a frag plug or rock from another tank into his Frag tank, within 2 minutes all the Aptasia are gone. Has anyone else had this experience?? I know they are planktivores in nature. Generally the reason they are so reef safe. The odd thing is there's Mojanos in that tank that he wont touch. BTAs that are constantly splitting and no interest there either. Leaves all corals alone too. So odd to me but hes become my best bud in tank maintenance

I had one. I never observed him directly eating them, I don't think they were his favorite. But any time there was a visible aiptasia in the display tank (not deep in the rocks, but where he could get at it easily), it would only survive until it was big enough for him to notice. Once it got to that size, it would always vanish within 2-3 days, before I could even decide to try and do something about it.

Do watch out for any acans you have. Certain colors of acans were just like candy to him - both lords and bowerbankis. I eventually weaned him off of them by offering daily nori to the tank.

Sadly, I killed him last week. Definitely my favorite fish in the tank, it still stings that he's gone.

dang. I'm sorry for your loss. It definitely can be painful to lose a fish you've had for a while. If you dont mind me asking what killed him? Its definitely interesting though to see these and other fish change to a completely different feeding strategy in captivity though. Maybe you can get another in the near future.
