Started my second round of fish for QT (first round was originally 4 pj's, 4 bangai, 1 firefish) out of that bunch 4 pj's and 1 firefish have successfully made it into the display tank. My next set I was looking at was a combo of wrasses and filefish,

I picked up from the LFS the following:

1. Aptasia - Eating Filefish
2. Solarensis Wrasse
3. Carpenter Wrasse
4. McCosker's Wrasse

these will eventaully end up in a 200g + 74 g sump, the QT itself is 40g and housed the previous set/fully cycled with hob/sponge, etc

During transfer the carpenter bit down on the net and despite my best efforts and cutting the net as small as possible he did not make it through the first night. The other three appeared to be doing well, all eating etc, but woke up within the next 24 hours after that to the McCosker passing. My plan was 2 fairy, 2 flasher all dif species that are safe together and not aggro, my question however is -- are wrasses going to be hard to get through QT? My two remaining Solarensis and File fish are eating frozen and seem pretty happy, however both flasher wrasse's died withing 48 hours -- I have read a bit online that sometimes they are a bit more difficult to get through QT? Anyway open to any input, I am kind of limited in the Northeast atm as getting fish in seems to be difficult with the current cold weather, but my idea would be to add still 1 more fairy and 2 more flasher wrasses unless I am just going down the wrong path?

Thanks in advance for feedback!

Waiting for better weather is a great idea if you can do it. The fish are better at their source disease-wise, and they have a better "last mile" ride weather-wise.

An observation-only QT with alternate treatment methods is very possible. There are options.
